The Backwards Jump
I’m currently tapping away at my first piece of long-form fiction, a speculative novel called The Backwards Jump. The escalator pitch: Tasked with writing the eulogy for his estranged father, Will O’Malley learns he can leap into the past to learn the objective truths behind the tall-tales of his family history, allowing him to better understand the generational burdens of both his father and himself. Spoiler alert: Teddy Roosevelt shows up! While entertaining, he’s also kind of an ass. And before you have to ask, yes, there’s old-time wrasslin’!
